Lisa Lujan, WorkHub Community Founder

One thin layer below Lisa’s even-tempered exterior is the rapidly beating heart of a passionate leader. First to give. First to step out. First to not only see the gap but also to stand in it on behalf of others. While some saw an enormous empty building with a layout as awkward as a blind date, Lisa saw something else arising. Enter WorkHub: space redesigned to draw hardworking professionals together in new ways and infuse their workday with productivity, innovation, and networking. Originally from the gorgeous high desert of Albuquerque, she fell in love with her husband, Michael, while-yes-dancing to “La Bamba.” The Lujans moved to Tyler in 1995 and have two girls. Lisa’s door is wide open to other radical entrepreneurs, under-served community leaders, and anyone out there making a difference every day.

Yo Orrostieta, WorkHub CEO

Yo helps individuals and organizations be at their best. Raised in Mexico, she and her parents came to Tyler when she was six years old. Although successful in Mexico, her parents’ education and experience did not carry over immediately in East Texas. They depended on others to get started, and now Yo gives back to the community that gave to her. As a young adult, the Lujans mentored Yo. Through her involvement in WorkHub, she’s able to apply many of the lessons she learned. “I work for fun. Isn’t that weird?” Yo says of her free time. But to know her is to know that it’s not that weird at all. After all, entrepreneurship and espresso from her bedside red Keurig run in her veins. Ask Yo about her social mission-and be prepared to share yours-whenever you meet up at WorkHub.

Nerds run the world. Self-proclaimed nerds like Mary (and proud of it, thank you) make WorkHub run smoothly so that our members enjoy the best workday experience possible. Ask her anything Star Trek Next Generation and you’ll get a long answer. Ask her why she loves WorkHub and the answer is simple: the energy of the place and people. Mary’s eye is not only on the bottom line at WorkHub—it’s on membership engagement and making sure every member gets exactly what he or she is looking for in our co-working environment. She’s married to an awesome husband and is the mother of a genius seven-year-old. On your next work break, come by and meet Mary, grab a cup of Joe, and get ready to talk indie, fantasy, sci-fi, or historical fiction until the cows come home.

Ericka Reina, PR & Events Coordinator

Ericka works a little magic into her job description. Not only does she handle our marketing and all of the amazing events happening at WorkHub, but also she’s the face of WorkHub out in the community, spearheading our public relations. It’s her pleasure  to connect with businesses and non-profits to share how WorkHub can benefit them in a number of ways. Ericka grew up in Tyler and earned her BBA in Marketing from the University of Texas at Tyler. When she wasn’t working on her degree, she was pursuing her passion for drawing and painting. She is big on family, one of six siblings, and is also a mom. Ericka coordinates high-energy events at WorkHub for hundreds of people, but when the workday is over, her idea of a perfect gathering is something small and intimate with friends, family, and great music. Yes, please! The next best thing to this zen kind of evening, Ericka says, is to get away from the distractions of home and crowded coffee shops and join us at WorkHub today.
